OddGodfrey: The Oddly Compelling Story of a Sailing Circumnavigation of the World

The oddly compelling story of a bid to sail around the world

June 28, 2019

I'm Podcast Famous!

by Leslie Godfrey in Getting and Staying Seaworthy

If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you might remember some of our stories from preparing the Sailing Kitty and getting ready to go. We spoke of a good friend who invited us to dinner, and in no uncertain terms told us we should set a date to go as soon as we can. She was absolutely right.

Now, that same friend has recently pivoted in her career, moving from legal practice to helping families in the Las Vegas Community find the home of their dreams. She also started a podcast all about the people in the Las Vegas Community who make it a great place to call “Home”. She decided I can still qualify, especially considering Sonrisa carries Las Vegas, Nevada as the home port on her hull.

This is a link to Alexis’ most recent podcast, “Home” in which she interviewed me on how this crazy sailing scheme got started, the story of how we moved through our careers, to ultimately cast off to hopefully, someday (within the 5-6 year time frame!) complete a full circumnavigation of the globe. Head on over and check it out, and I promise we will finish off Sonrisa’s keel bolt drama next week!

Happy Friday!
